Research: Dock Images

These are real images I took from my holiday in France near St. Jean De Monts. This place was a quaint town with a Port. As you can see some of the images we can use to style some of our own 3D work!!!!

This next set of images are photos taken by my girlfriend on her trip in the summer to Hong Kong. All these photos have been chosen from over 200 hundred to help me with my project of a digital environment. I was looking for textures and interesting architecture.
This image I think is just perfect when looking at textures. The high rise building looks as though the years have got the better of it and the weather has really taken its toll.
A boat... a boat which we could model... possibly not in our medieval/tudor scene however its still interesting for reference and therefore still valid. Also the water plain looks good here. Very crisp... Not quite sure what I mean but I feel it's the right term ... 'crisp'.

These last three images look again outstounding when looking at textures, modeling and water!! I love the look of the shanty metal shack however it will not really be useful unless I use that corregated metal look on a roof somewhere as a shelter in our docks perhaps. Just an idea.
